Vote for AL to keep up dev trend in Khulna: BFUJ President

Titas Chakraborthey, Khulna Correspondent: President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul here on Monday urged the city dwellers to vote for boat to continue the development spree of the present government to build a modern Khulna city.
He was speaking at a poll campaign in the city organized by ‘Khulnar Sacheton Sangbadik Samaj,’ a platform of Liberation War supporting journalists of KUJ and regional Newspapers Owners Association, in support of mayoral aspirant candidate Talukder Abdul Khaleque.
Bulbul said development of Khulna city was largely hampered and neglected during the tenure of the BNP-Jamaat government.
The scenario has changed as the present government implemented some mega projects for the welfare of the country’s southern city.
Bangladesh has graduated from the least-developed country (LDC) group to developing one, and the country has advanced remarkably in every sector under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said BNP along with anti liberation forces are obstructing the country’s development spree and hatching conspiracy.
He said, adding Khulna will be turned into a modern industrial city if Khaleque wins the Khulna city corporation polls.
Awami League central member S M Kamal, Khulna Press Club President and general secretary Faruk Hossain and Mallick Sudhangsu, President and General Secretary of Khulna Union of Journalists (KUJ) S M Zahid Hossain and Shah Alam, senior journalists Nazrul Islam, Mokbul Hossain Mintu, Sheikh Abu Hasan, A K Hiru, Saheb Ali, Mozammel Haque Howlader, Subir Roy, Amiya Paul, Humayun Kabir, Hedayet Hossain Molla, Samsuzzaman Shaheen, advocate Farid Ahmed, among others, attended the mass campaign.
